The concept of HOPE® has been developed based on the findings of positive psychology with a view to promoting the ways of attaining a state of happiness and enhancing work performance.

Through taking part in this course, the participants will know the fruit of the research of positive psychology and understand how to apply the wisdom of HOPE in their daily life and work so as to live a more fulfilling life, and have better work performance, interpersonal relationship, and communication skills.

Concept of HOPE®
HOPE® is the acronym for the four key elements of happiness. The letter H stands for Humorous Attitude. A sense of humor can help us hold a positive attitude and generate happiness when we are undergoing negative experiences. Humor also improves the quality of communication in workplace, both internal and external. The letter O represents Optimistic Thinking. Optimistic thinking brings us positive messages and energy which help us live and work with a happy and positive manner when we are in difficult situations. An optimistic person is able to remain hopeful in tough times. This psychological strength facilitates staff to work positively when the organization is facing adversity such as financial tsunami and other major crises. P is Positive Emotion. Many studies have showed that positive emotion is beneficial to our psychological as well as our physical health. Positive emotion can help staff improve their customer service and working relationship with colleagues. The E factor means Enjoyable Experience. Working as enjoyment increases the staff’s satisfaction and productivity.
